Mr. Curtis Wayne Hanks, Jr. 05/18/1967 – 12/15/2023 Mr. Curtis Wayne Hanks, Jr., age 56, of Newport, passed away Friday evening, December 15, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Wayne Hanks, Sr.; mother Martha Oyler and step-mother Dorothy Ruth Hanks and a brother Russell Oyler. Survivors in include his wife Edna “Sally” L. Allende of the home; children Angel (Lance) Hord, William Sanderlin, Kyleigh Hanks and Kiara Hanks; grandchildren Scott Brandriff, Richard Roemer, Devin Roemer, Keagan Yates and Jaden Miller; sisters Ardena Speight and Diane Hanks. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousin and friends including a childhood best friend Joseph Provenzano and special friends Billy Maples and Tim “Skinny Tim” Miller. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, December 21, 2023 in the Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul B. Pratt officiating.
