Ms. Shirley J. Cureton 03/25/1939 – 01/21/2024Ms. Shirley Jean Cureton, age 84, of Parrottsville, passed away Sunday morning, January 21, 2024 at TerraBella Assisted Living Center in Morristown. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Ray and Mattie Cureton and sisters Mary Edith Thomas and Betty Jo Huff. Survivors include her daughter Vana Coakley of Parrottsville, grandson Grant ( Kristen) Coakley of Greeneville; nieces Tammy Reed of Parrottsville and Terri Tilson of Morristown. Additional survivors include several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday afternoon , January 26, 2024 at Forest Hill Church Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Marta Cogburn officiating. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home.
