Ralph Elmer Hill age 70 of Cosby passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home.
Ralph was a friend that will be greatly missed. He was a strong man and was always eager the help others. He had a positive impact on many lives whether he was their son, brother, cousin, uncle, teacher, coach, principal, father, neighbor, or mail carrier.
Ralph loved life. He found joy in the simple things like growing a garden, camping, fishing, riding his horses, watching a western, cheering on his favorite teams, or sharing a meal with the people he loved. His smile and laugh were contagious. He could also humble you quickly with a reminder of one of his own life’s trials. His appreciation of a good day was always a characteristic to be admired.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Mary Hill; Sisters Edith Owenby Carver, Dorothy Owenby Combs, and Nona Owenby; Brothers Arvin Owenby, Jean Owenby, Wade Hill, and Roy Hill.
Ralph is survived by his son Matthew Hill and daughter-in-law Chasity Hill; Sister Brenda Hill Winstead and Sister-in-law Reva Owenby; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special friend Carlene Baxter.
A special thank you to Thelma Baxter for all her love and care during this time of illness.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at a later date.
Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Ralph Hill.
