Bonnie Barnes Ball, age 68 of Newport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 15th 2022 at Turkey Creek Medical Center following a short illness. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and Nannal.
In her lifetime, she never met a stranger. She thoroughly enjoyed yard saling, spending time with her husband, children and especially her grandchildren. She embraced her role as a Nannal and Mother, and will always be loved and missed by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curt and Alice Barnes; brothers, Gene & Tommy Barnes, mother and father in law, Paul and Thelma Ball; and beloved dog, Skeeter.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Billy Jack Ball; daughter, Regina (Barry) Hawkins, Amanda Ball, and Jason (Jessica) Ball; sisters, Jane Barnes, Betty Jenkins, Becky Raines; brothers, Jimmy Barnes, and David Barnes; brother-in-law, Riley Ball; sister-in-law, Mellissa McCarter; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Cody (Taylor) Stokely, Damion Ball, Tieran Manns, Olivia Ball, Kalen Hawkins, Jaxson Hawkins, Ava Garner, and Elijah Garner; and her Grandpup Rocko.
Pastor Glen Ball will officiate the funeral service, which will be held at 6PM Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4PM to 6PM prior to the service. Burial will take place at 11:00 AM Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Dutch Bottoms Baptist Church Cemetery. In recognition of the continuing pandemic, masks and social distancing are encouraged.
