Obituary

James Arthur “Jim” Kesterson, age 79 of Dandridge, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid gun collector, and loved animals. Jim will be remembered for his jovial personality and sense of humor. He never met a stranger, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Nannie Mae Kesterson; and his firstborn son, James Arthur Kesterson, Jr.; a younger sister; and his father-in-law, Kyle Luster.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 29 years, Tycia “Tish” Kesterson; four sons, Tim, Chris, Noah, & Daniel; four grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Walker, & Wyatt; several great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Anna Luster; brother-in-law, Brett Luster; and his beloved pets, Bear & Tiger.

A visitation with Celebration of Life following is planned for Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Swannsylvania Baptist Church from 5PM to 7PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
